Professional Experience
Amanina Yusrina Ahmad Kamal is a Senior Associate at Fahda Nur & Yusmadi, with extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation and a strong practice in matters involving Syariah law. Since joining the firm in 2019, she has been actively involved in assisting the partners in managing a broad range of disputes, including corporate and commercial litigation, appellate matters and Syariah proceedings.
She regularly acts for and against government entities, government-linked companies, corporations and high-profile individuals in complex and high-value disputes. Her experience spans contractual disputes, land and property disputes, insolvency and liquidation matters, employment and industrial relations claims, shareholders’ disputes, judicial review proceedings and corporate governance issues.
In her capacity as a Senior Associate, Amanina conducts trials and plays an active role in court proceedings, demonstrating growing confidence and capability in advocacy. She appears regularly as assisting counsel to Fahda Nur Ahmad Kamar in a wide range of complex and high-value commercial and civil disputes, supporting the conduct of hearings and trials . Known for her diligence and commitment, Amanina plays a key role in the preparation and conduct of matters, maintaining a high level of attention to detail across all stages of litigation. Her promotion to Senior Associate in 2023 reflects her development within the firm and her continued contribution to its dispute resolution practice.
Throughout her practice, Amanina has been involved in several notable matters. These include successfully defending a state government-linked company, its directors and subsidiary against a minority oppression claim, acting for a state government-linked healthcare group in a commercial dispute arising from share sale and shareholders' agreements following the acquisition of a private healthcare services company and representing former directors of a public listed company in claims exceeding RM500 million arising from the acquisition of a foreign plantation company.
She has also assisted in Federal Court proceedings concerning a claim exceeding RM24 million assessment of contractual losses and recoverable development costs arising from a joint venture project, acted in disputes involving allegations of directors' breaches of duties, misrepresentation, conspiracy and unjust enrichment and represented parties in land, insolvency and liquidation-related disputes involving claims for specific performance and contractual breaches. In addition, she has successfully represented employees in claims for dismissal without just cause or excuse and subsequent enforcement proceedings before the Industrial Court.
